Super Saturday

Could there be a better day than one on which Illinois beats #1 Ohio state and Michigan loses?
Maybe your wedding day(or maybe not). Of course, in my case, my wedding day was better. Maybe when your kids were born.
Maybe your successful surgery to have your 3rd nipple removed.
Maybe next week when the Illini win again and Michigan loses again, Illinois can get invited to a better bowl game. That could be a better day.

Yes, Saturday, November 10, 2007 was an excellent day for the reasons you stated. We may even, one day, look back on that day and say it was the turning point in a program. We may not. If history teaches us anything it'll take something like a tear in the time/space continuum to have an Illinois football program that we can look forward to. That said, I am reveling in wearing the orange and blue, loving the chief symbol (partly because it's "outlawed") and, in general, celebrating the losses that Michigan suffered this year. I can't wait until the bowl bids come out and we can take another giant leap forward. Besides, who wants to wear maize?
